Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in the region. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts during weekends, supporting the care of medical and surgical patients, including joint replacements and general surgical cases, with a unit that accommodates COVID-19 patients. The assignment offers a dynamic environment requiring resilience and strong teamwork.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI registered nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC certifications, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), at least 2 years of ICU and MedSurg experience, travel experience preferred, associate degree or certificate required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Resilient, social, assertive, team-oriented, able to manage change effectively.
• Float: Must be willing to float to additional units including Aspirus Stevens Point, Plover, and Riverview.
• Additional Information: The unit features a mix of medical and surgical cases, including COVID-19 patient care. Candidates should be hard workers, resilient, confident in their skills, and capable of managing a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be prepared for holiday rotations and, during flu season, adhere to vaccination policies with mask requirements if declined vaccination.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks starting from 09/28/2026 to 12/27/2026.
• Notes: The contract is eligible for 36 hours of nonbillable low census hours. On-call may be required for low census periods, which counts toward the unbillable hours, with compensation for callback if called back to the facility.
