Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
Surgical Technician (OR Technologist) in a healthcare facility. This position involves working on an 8-hour day shift, with assignments lasting approximately 16 to 26 weeks. The role requires supporting various surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, plastics, and phases of patient care such as admissions and discharges. Candidates must be flexible to work every 7th weekend on call and participate in holiday rotations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour days, Monday through Sunday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and a minimum of 1 year of prior travel experience. Experience with cesarean sections (C-sections) is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in specialties including orthopedics, ENT, urology, gynecology, or endoscopy.
• Additional Information:
  • Assignment duration from 09/28/2026 to 01/17/2027.
  • No block schedules are permitted.
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in the application.
  • Complete work history information, including bed count, electronic medical records (EMR) system, and facility type, is required for submission.
  • Reliable transportation is essential, with all-season or snow tires recommended from November through April.
  • The facility requires travelers to work two out of four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day.
  • This position involves working in a variety of surgical settings and assisting in procedures across multiple specialties.
