Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in an inpatient medical surgical floor located in Russellville, Arkansas. The role involves assessing, planning, and coordinating nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, adhering to the plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position requires current state licensure, a minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, and availability for night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current state license, 1-2 years of recent acute experience in medical surgical nursing, CPR certification, ability to work night shifts
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations, familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system
  • Float: Float to all medical surgical floors may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit includes adult and geriatric patient populations with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 6-7:1
    • Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, documenting care, and following infection control and safety policies
    • Orientation is every two weeks; starting 09/22/2026
    • Must be greater than 60 miles from the facility to be considered travel candidate
