Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
OR (Operating Room) Technician specializing in cardiovascular surgery is needed at a healthcare facility in Indiana. This position involves assisting surgeons in the cardiovascular operating room by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment. The role also includes assisting with turnover of operating rooms to ensure efficient surgical case flow.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology, BLS certification, 2 years of experience with strong cardiac surgery skills, thoracic da Vinci experience preferred, and proficiency with Cerner EMR system
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required; the candidate could float to the main operating room as needed
• Additional Information: The position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room with 4 operating rooms, assisting in surgical procedures such as thoracic da Vinci surgeries, and supporting OR turnover activities. Travelers must attach required licenses and certifications with their submissions, include a driver`s license and permanent home address matching their ID, and be located at least 50 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.
