Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves working in a specialized ICU unit with a focus on critically ill patients, including trauma, neuro, surgical, and sepsis cases. The role requires providing advanced critical care to patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and at least 1 year of experience in critical care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring (SICU/NCCU), ventilated patients, pressors, inotropes, vasoactive medications, line insertion and maintenance, post-surgical line/tube/drain management, ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, external ventricular drains (EVD), and waveform interpretation of pulmonary artery (PA) lines in a Critical Care setting.
- Additional Information: The unit has 18 beds, including surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, and multiple organ failure and sepsis patients. The role involves assisting with line insertions, maintaining various tubes and drains, and managing ventilated patients with complex needs. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ICU-specific procedures.
