Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) position located in a large inpatient facility. This role involves providing patient care on medical surgical units with telemetry monitoring, supporting various specialty areas including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys, and vascular. The role includes rotating day and night shifts, every other weekend, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts, and requires dynamic adaptability to different unit protocols and patient needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure, 0+ years related work experience, CPR-AHA, ACLS-AHA, basic familiarity with computers, Epic experience, and ability to navigate web-based applications. Additional qualifications include experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred. Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise. Level I trauma experience preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Support 15 medical surgical units, specializing in various medical fields. Inpatient patient ratios vary from 4:1 on days to 6:1 on nights. Travel nurses may be assigned to units for 2-3 week periods, with some weeks receiving assignments with short notice. Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday). All RTO requests must be presented at the time of submission. All candidates must provide available dates and times for interview at submission. No call required. Campus parking may cost up to $43 per day during working days; public transportation options are available.
