Registered Nurse / Infusion

Job Summary:
Infusion Nurse specialty position available in a clinical setting. The role involves providing outpatient infusion therapy, including chemotherapy and bio-therapy treatments. The candidate must have at least two years of outpatient infusion experience and hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Oncology Nursing Certification (ONCC). The shift consists of four nine-hour days, with a typical start time around 7:30 or 8:00 AM, working every other full weekend.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four shifts per week, each lasting nine hours, with a start time likely at 0730 or 0800 hours and every other full weekend, working 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of two years outpatient infusion nursing experience, current BLS and Oncology Nursing Certification (ONCC), CA state nursing license uploaded via Nursys within the last two weeks, and certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Skills: Managing ports and central lines, administering chemotherapy, handling body fluids post-chemotherapy, port care, infusion center procedures, PPE and isolation precautions, IV push chemotherapy administration, cytotoxic spill management/disposal, chemotherapy monitoring, neutropenic precautions, recognizing abnormal lab values, and managing side effects.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with administering chemotherapy, managing ports, and working in outpatient infusion environments. All compliance documents must be submitted within 10 days prior to start date. Orientation hours, non-billable modules, and reference checks are part of the onboarding process.
