Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) for a facility located in Mayfield, Kentucky. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a Medical Surgical Floor serving patients of all ages. The role requires delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to hospital protocols, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB; Kentucky RN licensure; at least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with COPD, post-operative joints, and diabetic patient populations; compassionate, kind, and caring personality.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have REQUIRED certifications prior to start. The facility serves a diverse patient population with up to a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with PCA assistance. The unit includes 57 beds across Med/Surg floors, with a focus on patient safety and quality care. Weekly orientation is held on Mondays.
