Job Summary:
Medical Assistant (MED ASST) Norfolk, VA. This role involves supporting both clinical and non-clinical functions within a healthcare setting. The position requires working under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers and is suitable for individuals with at least one year of related experience. The assignment spans approximately three months, starting on 09/21/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts over a 13-week period.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA), with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Must provide at least 1 reference from previous work history. Credentialing documents due the week prior to start and must include proof of flu shot. Required to submit Social Security Number, date of birth, and middle initial at booking.

• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled individual performing clinical tasks within their scope of practice. During performance of uncomplicated clinical services, they operate under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers including physicians, nurse practitioners, or licensed practical nurses. The provider will report to department leadership. Parking is provided and a parking pass is required. Attire is scrubs.
