Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse in a clinical setting, working during daytime hours. This position involves performing comprehensive assessments, delivering direct patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with the perioperative team to provide individualized care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call rotation approximately 3 times per month, including weekends, with 24-hour call coverage once every 6 weeks or twice during the contract period.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN license, and 3 years of clinical OR experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of surgical patient care, pre-admission testing evaluation, patient education, HIPAA compliance, and familiarity with National Patient Safety Goals and safe transfer techniques.
• Additional Information: The role includes supporting completion of patient testing, evaluating pre-admission testing orders, and educating patients and families about surgical procedures. Proficiency in emergency equipment operation and documentation is essential.
