Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty in the Women`s Services Department offers a dedicated opportunity for experienced registered nurses to provide specialized care in a dynamic environment. This position involves assisting with obstetric deliveries, supporting prenatal and postpartum patients, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. The assignment is suitable for professionals committed to high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

- Float: Float rotation may be required within the candidate`s scope of practice.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), STABLE, AWHONN (Association of Women`s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) (Advanced), NRP, and CPI (or MAB) certifications must be obtained before the start of the assignment. All certifications are required prior to onboarding.

- Additional Information:
The role involves assisting in obstetric procedures, supporting prenatal, labor, and postpartum care, and participating in emergency response protocols such as neonatal resuscitation. The facility has a policy of canceling one shift every four weeks during the contract. Compliance clearance is required ten days prior to orientation. Orientation sessions are scheduled for various RN specialties including Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Forensics, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery. It is also specified in the contract that more than three call-outs during the contracted period may result in termination of the assignment.
