Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nights in a high-acuity healthcare facility. This position involves providing acute care services in a Level III trauma setting, with responsibilities including managing trauma, sepsis, stroke, chest pain, and abdominal pain cases. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse, at least 2 years of ER experience, and certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) within American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
• Additional Information: The candidate must be willing to work beyond the New Years holiday period. Charting is performed through the MEDITECH Expanse system. The unit primarily manages trauma, sepsis, stroke, chest pain, and abdominal pain, with common medication drips including Diltiazem, Heparin, Insulin, Propofol, Cleviprex, Levophed, and Amiodarone. RNs are expected to interpret telemetry strips.
