Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in a cardiac-focused stepdown environment. The position involves night shifts, with scheduled hours of 12 per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate must have relevant experience in cardiac telemetry and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, specialty-specific setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: Not specified; candidate must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current state or district license to practice as a Registered Nurse; BSN degree (highly desired); at least 2 years of RN experience, with cardiac telemetry experience required; current BLS and ACLS certifications; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; Cerner EMR experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree highly desired.
  • Responsibility and Experience: Work in a 48-bed cardiac stepdown unit with frequent IV drips including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex; common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The position is scheduled to start on 09/21/2026 and will conclude on 12/19/2026.
