Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) nursing position is based in a healthcare facility and involves circulating and scrubbing for general surgery, plastics, and vascular procedures. The role requires skilled professionals to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts. The assignment provides an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in surgical nursing.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, with a start time of 0900 for 12-hour shifts, rotating to 1100-2130, with a maximum of 2 weeks per contract. Call or shift extension required weekly. 24-hour weekend call every 6 weeks. Weekend coverage is scheduled per unit rotation to cover vacations, with no more than 1 weekend per contract.
• Required Qualifications: Valid IA (Iowa) or Compact license, extensive trauma experience, proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in general surgery, plastics, and vascular procedures; experience with OR Circulate and Scrub roles.
• Additional Information: The role involves circulating and scrub roles in general surgery, plastics, and vascular surgeries within the operating room. Candidates should be prepared for a 13-week assignment starting on 10/26/2026 and concluding on 01/25/2027.
