Job Summary:
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a hospital setting. The role involves providing competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires a commitment to safety, patient assessment, and care planning, with a focus on critically ill patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing; experience in ICU, Level 1 Trauma Experience, and CTICU (Critical Care Transport Intensive Care Unit) focus experience.
- Additional Information: The role involves patient assessment and prioritization, performing bedside point of care testing, ensuring safety management, discharge planning, research application, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN will be responsible for developing and updating the plan of care in collaboration with patients and families, taking cultural and ethnic considerations into account.
