Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) The position is based in a healthcare facility with a focus on maternal and neonatal care. The RN will function as both caregiver and care manager, providing direct patient care to women in labor and overseeing clinical teams. The role requires adherence to clinical standards and effective team coordination to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current Washington State RN licensure; Healthcare Provider (HCP) Level of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or equivalent within 30 days of hire; ability to care for patients across all ages; competence with department-specific equipment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required prior to the end of orientation and renewed every 2 years; ACLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed biennially; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course from AWHONN or NCC, obtained within 3 months of training completion and renewed every 2 years; RN-C in specialty preferred.
- Additional Information: The role involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and performing CPR. Visual acuity and emotional stability are essential for managing high-stress situations in maternal and neonatal care. Up to 24 hours of call-off may be available at no cost during the assignment.
