Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse or Circulator is needed for a travel assignment in a surgical hospital setting. The role involves supporting a team performing various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, plastics, and podiatry, across a busy surgical unit. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with experienced staff, and it requires working day shifts with a schedule of 10 hours per day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license or certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), at least 3 years of experience as a Circulator or CST, able to position patients, prepare them for surgery, monitor equipment, and perform specific surgical procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joints,hip replacements, tibia and fibula surgeries, ankle and foot surgeries, plastics, breast reduction and expansions, robotic-assisted surgeries (Robotic XI and DV5), and breast reconstruction including DIEP flaps.
• Additional Information: The unit is a surgical ward with 7 beds, staffed with a team of three (including one OR RN and two CSTs). Typical case load includes a variety of complex surgeries such as joint replacements, plastics, and robotics. Staff possess considerable tenure, with all employees in surgical services having over three years of experience. The unit emphasizes a positive and hardworking culture, with an opportunity to take trauma call at the main unit.
