Job Summary:
Lactation and Delivery Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department at a healthcare organization located in California. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum settings. The position requires supervising and guiding nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing clinical judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience in an acute care facility preferred. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required. AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required. Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required. AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The role involves collecting relevant patient data, analyzing assessment information, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams is essential. The position includes responsibilities in discharge planning, delegation, and providing patient education. Organizational policies require all associates to be vaccinated as a condition of employment, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.
