Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Lafayette, IN. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a dynamic surgical environment. The position supports a team-oriented setting with a focus on patient safety, procedural excellence, and adaptability across various surgical specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with varying days off. Weekly guaranteed hours are 40 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse License, 3+ years of experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Robotics training, experience with Vascular and Open Heart procedures (not required but desirable).
• Unit Information:
  • Number of Beds: 10 Operating Rooms
  • Patient Ratios: Varies depending on procedure and patient needs
  • Equipment: Wide range of surgical equipment
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Personality Fit: Positive attitude, adaptable, self-starter, attentive, proactive in anticipating needs
• Dress Code: Surgical scrubs provided; use of surgical scrubs is mandatory
• Additional Information: This position involves on-call shifts for weekdays and weekends, with specific call requirements detailed by the facility. The role involves working in a fast-paced, team-centric environment with opportunities to gain experience across multiple surgical disciplines. No unacceptable attire is specified.
