Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Idaho Falls, ID. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a 29-bed ICU within a level 2 trauma center. The role requires advanced skills in vent management, arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring, with responsibilities including procedures such as intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopies, bedside tracheostomies, and PEG tube insertions. Shifts are nights, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS, BLS; preferred certifications include TNCC, NIHSS, ABLS; at least 3 years of ICU experience; valid license to practice as an RN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedures such as intubations and central line placements.
- Float: Float to Emergency Department first, step-down units as needed.
- Additional Information: The ICU unit operates in a level 2 trauma center with a busy heart program, burn center, and advanced life support capabilities including CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO. The unit maintains an average ICU staff experience of 12 years. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
