Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a facility location. This role involves utilizing advanced patient monitoring equipment, performing assessments, administering medications and therapies, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams. The RN will care for patients recovering from surgeries, cardiac events, or with complex medical conditions, providing education to patients and families, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license for Michigan; 2 years of RN experience in step down or progressive care units; telemetry monitoring experience; Cerner EMR proficiency; Certifications in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient education and complex medication management is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The role emphasizes assessment and intervention in patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, including those requiring neuro checks and ventilator management. The position starts on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027.
