Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a Level 3 NICU setting. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill neonates, including advanced procedures and patient management. The assignment is targeted for a start date of 10/06/2026, with a scheduled shift of 12 hours per day and a minimum of 36 hours per week, ending on 01/05/2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/06/2026 and ending on 01/05/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission); two years of experience including at least one year in neonatal specialty; certifications including BLS, NRP, and PALS; at least 2 years of healthcare experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-frequency ventilation, management of PICC lines, intubation, and neonatal intensive care procedures.
  • Float: May float to the mother/baby unit if needed; float to other units only if experienced in couplet care.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS (advanced NRP acceptable if willing to get advanced certification prior to start).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years overall experience required, with at least 1 year in the NICU specialty.
  • Other Requirements: Willingness to work every other weekend, with the possibility of exceeding to meet unit needs; must include all requested RTO during submission; must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing neonatal patients including those born prematurely (as early as 29 weeks), with responsibilities for high-acuity procedures such as managing ventilators, administering medications, and performing NICU-specific assessments and interventions. Candidates should be comfortable with advanced equipment such as high-frequency ventilators, CPAP, BIPAP, and infusion pumps.
