Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing surgical assistance and support in a specialized cardiac operating room environment. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure smooth procedures and patient safety during complex cardiac surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days, with call responsibilities required every other weekend. The shift begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room settings, certified in ACLS and BLS, and familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• Common types of cases include straightforward coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), aortic valve replacements (AVR), mitral valve repairs (MVR), and thoracotomies.
• Additional Information: Float within the operating room department to other specialties may be required. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for approximately one week or until the candidate feels comfortable. The facility provides scrubs and case suites; scrub color is provided. The shift involves on-call duties with a response time of 30 minutes, including holiday work rotation.
• Note: Only within the operating room to other specialties floating is allowed.
