Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves supporting surgical teams in a variety of operative procedures within a high-volume operating environment. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining sterile fields, assisting with instrumentation, and ensuring efficient workflow across multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour days, call required, every other weekend, first to float
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA, BLS Certification, minimum 2 years of experience in trauma, orthopedics, and general surgery, with experience in ENT, plastics, vascular, neuro, and robotics (Da Vinci). No BSN required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in open heart, valves, thoracotomy, trauma surgeries (CVOR) is preferred.
• Additional Information: Unit notes specify the ability to perform both cardiovascular (CVOR) and general operating room cases. The unit comprises 12 general OR suites, 1 cardiovascular suite, and 1 hybrid room, with an average of 14 cases per day. Candidates must be able to handle a diverse case load across multiple surgical disciplines, including trauma, ortho, urology, gynecology, and robotics. The hospital`s cancellation policy allows up to 4 shift cancellations within a 13-week assignment or 3 for shorter assignments. Charting is performed using the Cerner system.
