Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) at a healthcare facility location. This high-acuity medical-surgical telemetry position involves providing patient care on a specialized unit. The role requires delivering quality nursing services for a diverse patient population requiring continuous monitoring and management of various conditions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid and active New Hampshire (NH) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission; NURSYS license verification with all active RN licenses; active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current National Healthcare Standards Inc. (NHISS) certification prior to start; ACLS certification required; ability to take a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%; drivers license with address matching demographics; up-to-date resume with 2+ years of experience in medical surgical and telemetry units; experience with Cerner electronic medical record (preferred but not required); experience in high-acuity medical-surgical units; ability to handle common patient diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life, wounds, among others.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus.
• Additional Information: The unit consists of 20 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1-5, sometimes 1-6. There may be requests for float to additional facilities in the area, including facilities located in Laconia and Franklin, New Hampshire. Local candidates (less than 50 miles) are preferred.
