Job Summary:
Rehabilitation Nurse, Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor, Location not specified. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from significant medical events or illnesses, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary and patient-centered approaches. The position requires flexibility to float to related units as needed, supporting rehabilitation services for diverse patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current license in the state or from a compact licensing state, with certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). No minimum experience requirement, with 0 years of experience minimum.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, and two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to long-term acute care or other units in the hospital to manage medical-surgical patients.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a facility with a daily census of approximately 35. Responsibilities include managing patient diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accidents, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other rehabilitation needs. The position offers interdisciplinary support from therapy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams, with fully equipped therapy rooms and a focus on patient safety, dignity, and education.
