Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor registered nurses (RNs) are sought for a night shift position in an acute care setting. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care for a diverse adult population, including geriatric trauma, trauma victims, and postoperative surgical patients. The position offers an opportunity to work within a magnet and teaching hospital, with collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license, 0 or more years of clinical experience, BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or higher, at least 5 years of experience, 6 years of patient ratio experience, proficiency in Epic electronic charting system; open to candidates with community hospital and trauma Level II experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level I, LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) experience, prior travel experience
- Additional Information: Candidates must pass Relias EKG exam and interpret/manage dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include blood product administration, IV starts, wound care, trauma management, and operating specialized equipment such as chest tubes, external fixators, and wound vacs. The unit serves geriatric trauma, abuse/violence victims, MVA, MVC, falls, as well as acute care surgery cases. Candidates must adhere to the facilitys RTO (Return to Office) restrictions and license requirements.
- Note: This position requires floating within scope to meet facility needs. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted, except for certain support staff. Contract is firm with specific start and end dates. Orientation parking arrangements and compliance deadlines must be followed.
