Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) RN position located in a regional health center in Ottumwa, Iowa. This role involves providing care for patients of all ages in a busy emergency department environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong acuity skills and be adaptable to a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 11/08/2026
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (must be current)
• Required Qualifications: Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse clearances), mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult), 10-panel drug screen including opiates, titers within last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB), at least 2 years of ER experience in acute care, and recent ER experience preferred.
• Additional Notes: Candidates will be expected to follow hospital protocols and work effectively within a team environment. Must be flexible to start on a Monday or Tuesday. Candidate submission requires a complete submittal packet, including resume and skills checklist.
• Patient Population: All ages, primarily adult patients, with an average of 40 visits per day.
• Unit Information: 17 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, equipped with Meditech electronic health records system.
