Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a regional healthcare facility specializing in adult acute care services. The role involves providing dedicated patient care within a 10-bed ICU environment, supporting adult patient populations with a variety of complex medical conditions. This assignment offers an opportunity to work in a well-equipped unit that manages general ICU, stepdown, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, at least 1 year of ICU experience, formal nursing education leading to RN (Registered Nurse) licensure, and eligible to work in the state of Iowa.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general ICU, cardiac drips management.
  • Additional Information:
    • Will consider candidates with 1 year of ICU experience, including travel experience.
    • Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible.
    • Must have completed Iowa SING Background Check and Child Abuse background checks, with no exceptions.
    • Drug screening must include a 10-panel test including opiates.
    • Titers (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months.
    • Willing to start on Monday or Tuesday.
    • The unit is equipped with Mindray monitoring systems and Omnicell medication dispensing.
