Job Summary:
Radiation Oncology Nurse Oncological Care Boise. This position involves providing outpatient oncology nursing services in a clinical setting, including triage, patient assessments, education, and care coordination. The role requires adaptability, clinical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Potential for four 9-hour shifts may be available, with schedule adjustments possible based on staffing needs.
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum 2 years of outpatient oncology experience; oncology nursing experience preferred, with radiation oncology experience being a plus; must be willing to work in a travel capacity.
- Preferred Qualifications: Oncological specialization, triage experience, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC).
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with candidates expected to work across four outpatient oncology sites in the region. Most commonly floated to the Meridian location.
- Additional Information: Candidates will receive orientation in triage and with Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants, typically lasting between 3-10 days. Day-to-day activities include triage, outgoing phone calls, patient assessments, education, and care coordination. Travelers will always be working alongside other registered nurses, ensuring team support at all times.
