Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a community hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized care to a mixed patient population in a 8-bed open ICU environment. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position offers a flexible schedule suited for dedicated ICU professionals seeking a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing License for the state of New Hampshire at the time of submission, minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification and AIBP experience.
- Additional Information: The ICU primarily manages ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI/STEMI procedures, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temp pacer, sepsis management, stroke/TPA, and DKA cases. Staff are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls. The unit encourages self-scheduling, with every other weekend off and optional overtime, fostering a flexible work/life balance. Professional dress code is scrubs and professional appearance at all times. Commitment to high standards of patient safety and communication is emphasized through patient-centered care initiatives such as AIDET validation and hourly rounding.
