Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurses are needed at a busy emergency department located in a general healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality urgent and emergent patient care in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to work with a skilled team dedicated to efficient and effective emergency services.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); and a minimum of 2 years of emergency department (ER) experience as an RN.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in neuro and cardiac patient care; high energy; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Information: The unit consists of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Typical procedures include STEMI management, Stroke/TPA administration, and RSIs (Rapid Sequence Intubation). The department values staff with experience in neuro and cardiac cases and maintains a high standard of care with a goal of rapid patient turnaround, exemplified by a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA. The unit prefers staff to wear royal blue scrubs, though it is not mandatory.
