Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) nurse position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized circulating nursing care in a community hospital or trauma level 2 setting, supporting various surgical cases including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery. The position requires recent experience in an OR environment, with a focus on sedation monitoring and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, start times between 6:45 AM and 8:30 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, valid BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; at least 2 years of recent OR circulating experience in a community hospital or trauma level 2 facility; experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery; 2 years of recent OR circulating experience; current CA RN license; certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sedation administration, GI cases, and on-call duties; familiarity with relevant surgical equipment and procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves providing individualized nursing care using fundamental nursing and pharmacology knowledge, supporting adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge, with a focus on sedation monitoring, GI cases, and C-sections. On-call duties include overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
