Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor, available in the area. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, and provide health teaching and counseling to support patient well-being. The position requires execution of delegated medical functions, referral of patients for further evaluation or treatment, and documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of 3 years of experience in medical-surgical or orthopedic nursing
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree in Nursing; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), or NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as appropriate for the unit or service; previous experience on an orthopedic medical-surgical floor
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The nurse may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift and may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs. The role involves promoting the organization`s mission, vision, and values, and performing other duties as assigned.
