Job Summary
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) The organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to support the Crisis Residential Unit of the Safe Harbor program. The RN will be responsible for performing assessments for admission, medication administration, maintaining patient safety, and interacting with patients on the unit. The role requires operating with independence, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment, primarily working 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, generally from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., for a period from 09/21/2026 to 12/19/2026.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, primarily 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., rotating depending on need, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license with at least 2 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing; valid PA Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 certifications; experience with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Mental health experience, experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for assessments, medication management, safety, and patient interaction within a mental health care setting, reporting directly to the Nurse Manager. The position operates with a high degree of independence, requiring flexible clinical judgment and adherence to safety standards.
