Registered Nurse / Operation Room Circulate Only

Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse position located in a rural healthcare setting. The role involves providing post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures across various specialties. The nurse will utilize their expertise to ensure safe and efficient recovery, especially in critical access and rural operating environments, while supporting emergency and elective cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN or ADN), high school diploma or GED, valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska, 0 years of experience required, with at least 3 years of operating room circulator experience in a PACU setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are strongly preferred. Experience in Critical Access Hospitals and/or Rural Operating Rooms is highly desirable.
• Additional Information: This position is located within the Operating Room of the healthcare organization, handling both elective and emergency procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular, and OB/GYN surgeries. The role requires multi-tasking and efficient management of surgical cases, with support for after-hour call services, nights, holidays, and weekends. Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility. The position`s start date is scheduled for 10/26/2026, with an end date of 01/25/2027. SEARHC does not provide housing or flights, and the pay rate is all-inclusive.
