Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse The organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate care to oncology patients within an inpatient setting. The nurse will administer chemotherapy medications, coordinate patient care, and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, clinical expertise, and effective communication within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, current RN license in the State of Oregon, BLS certification, ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card, at least one year of acute care or medical/surgical nursing experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), previous oncology nursing experience, oncology nursing certification or willingness to obtain within three years of hire
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and supporting patient education and comfort. The role requires effective communication, critical thinking, and the ability to respond swiftly to patient and unit needs. The environment involves exposure to infectious and contagious diseases, hazardous materials, and medical equipment; compliance with safety protocols and use of PPE is essential. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, stooping, and prolonged standing or sitting.
