Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an intensive care environment specialized for neonatal patient care. The role involves practicing independently within a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing routine and complex nursing care to neonatal patients, and collaborating with care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will demonstrate clinical competence and ongoing development in neonatal care practices.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; current Certification in Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants (STABLE); BLS certification (American Heart Association); NRP certification; RN license in the state of Texas or compact licensing; 0 years minimum experience in neonatal or perinatal nursing; experience in a neonatal setting preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The RN will provide nursing care in an ICU Neonatal (Level 2 NICU) setting, may float to mother/baby units as needed, and will complete all mandated organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
