Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Neurology Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Neurology Floor nurse opportunity available in Overland Park, KS. This position requires providing patient care on a fast-paced, team-oriented neurological unit. The role involves supporting patients recovering from neurological surgeries or procedures, ensuring high-quality care, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 12/14/2026 and ending 03/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification; 1 year of nursing experience; flexibility to float to medical/telemetry and surgical specialty floors.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS or PALS certification; Basic Dysthymia class; previous experience on a neurology or specialty surgical floor.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit consists of 32 beds with 49 staff members, including nurses, patient care technicians, and a unit secretary. Typical patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:6 in high-acuity cases. Candidates should be team-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Scrub attire is royal blue top and bottom or black scrub bottoms. Weekend and on-call rotations are scheduled every third weekend, with nights rotating among Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
