Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing patient care on a busy Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on adult patient populations. The role requires the ability to adapt quickly to patient needs while maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS certification (American Heart Association), at least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience, valid nursing license in the state of practice, and the ability to start within 10 business days of offer acceptance.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience and oncology skills are advantageous but not required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work block scheduling on a case-by-case basis. The unit has 43 beds with patient ratios of approximately 1:5 and 1:6. Equipment used includes VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. EHR system in use is Cerner. The unit handles diagnoses such as cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF.
