Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This role provides essential perioperative patient care, including maintaining sterile fields, assisting during surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position emphasizes teamwork, compliance with hospital policies, and delivering high-quality care throughout the surgical process.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Massachusetts RN license; OR nursing experience preferred; BLS certification required, ACLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification strongly preferred
• Additional Information: Conducts patient assessments, prepares sterile supplies and instruments, maintains sterile fields, and assists with patient positioning and transfer during surgery. Ensures accurate documentation, collaborates with surgical team members, and promotes patient safety and infection control practices.
