Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position available in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients, including those with cardiovascular, neurologic, trauma, and multisystem conditions. This unit offers a collaborative team setting and requires experienced professionals to manage complex patient needs and utilize advanced monitoring and treatment technologies.

Job Details

  • Location: Not specified.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Licensure in the state, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, and current city fire card.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced cardiac procedures, neurological patient management, and the use of bedside monitoring systems.
  • Float: Float rotation to overflow ICU and PCU units may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Coverage includes adult and geriatric patient populations with daily census averaging 28 patients.
    • Support services available include physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
    • Unit equipped with bedside Phillips monitors, Alaris pumps, vents, and suction devices.
    • Traveler expectations include adherence to a 7-day work cycle with coverage for essential holidays and compliance with specific scheduling and RTO policies.
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and licensure in the state.
