Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in Overland Park, Kansas. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical specialty unit with a focus on post-operative management, wound care, and patient monitoring. The role is ideal for healthcare professionals experienced in medical-surgical nursing who can support the units clinical operations and patient needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); relevant healthcare qualification; experience in medical-surgical nursing; location in Overland Park, KS; 0+ years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative care and specific procedures such as ostomy management, NGT placement, and central line management
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The unit features private patient rooms, modern equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, CADD epidural, Pyxis medication dispensing machine, telemetry, EKG, wound vacs, capnostream machines, and SCD Pumps. Documentation is maintained via Medi tech system. Staff schedules follow a rotating pattern with every third weekend work, two Mondays, and two Fridays within a four-week cycle. On-call responsibilities are in place to support unit needs.
• Qualified candidates should have experience supporting post-operative patients and demonstrate strong clinical skills necessary for a busy surgical environment.
