Job Summary:
Beverly & Addison Gilbert Hospital area a full-time Medical Social Worker position specializing in social work within a healthcare environment. This role involves performing psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and care coordination for diverse patient populations, including adult, geriatric, pediatric, and medical/surgical cases. The position requires collaboration with clinical teams and external agencies to support patient needs.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Social Worker

• Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/02/2027
• Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), current Massachusetts Social Work licensure (LCSW/LICSW), at least one year of relevant experience in a hospital or similar environment, MA license at the time of submission, and medical social work experience including case management and discharge planning. Flu vaccine required during onboarding.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with crisis intervention, protective services, child welfare, long-term care, hospice, substance use disorders, and psychiatric illnesses.
• Additional Information: The candidate must not have worked perm/travel/PRN for any healthcare facility within the past six months.
