Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in a non-profit community hospital. This position involves administering and monitoring conscious sedation, assessing and monitoring the clinical status of patients, and supporting a variety of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including implantable devices, electrophysiology mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostics, and interventional radiology. The role requires effective communication with the patient care team, patients, and their families, ensuring optimal patient care within the Cath Lab setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. The position includes on-call responsibilities: approximately every 4th weekend from Friday at 1700 to Monday at 0700, and weekly from the end of the shift until 0700 the next morning on weekdays.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure/certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). A minimum of 2 years of experience in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, patient assessment, knowledge of medications used in cath labs, radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support. Skills include communication with the patient care team, patients, and families.

- Additional Information: The position utilizes the EMR systems EPIC and Merge. No float rotation is required. The hospital features 226 beds, two Cath Lab procedure rooms, and five pre/post care bays. The program name is MHS 2021.
