Psychiatric Unit Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Location: Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital. This position involves providing compassionate and specialized psychiatric nursing care within a state-of-the-art behavioral health unit. The role supports adults experiencing mental health issues, including those with a history of legal concerns, in a secure and supportive environment.

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

• Specialty: Psychiatrie Nursing Psychiatric Unit

• Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week Guaranteed

• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts state nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, Handle with Care (HWC) certification (can be completed on site), minimum 3 years of experience working with mental health patients in a locked setting, ability to pass medications utilizing Omni Cell, and a BSN degree preferred.

• Additional Information: The unit is a cutting-edge, three-year-old facility with a team experienced in mental health care and the lowest restraint rate in Massachusetts. The environment emphasizes trauma-informed, compassionate care with the capacity to adapt to evolving patient needs. Medical concerns are addressed by an internal medical group, and a full team of rehabilitation staff support group programming, along with social work and psychiatric staff. Patients are adults aged 18 and over, with diagnoses including bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance abuse, and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.
