Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Nurse in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing expert care to patients on the Cardiac Telemetry Unit, with a focus on EKG reading, telemetry monitoring, and handling a fast-paced clinical environment. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Telemetry Nurse responsible for patient monitoring, including EKG interpretation and responding to clinical changes on a 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures; making timely physician notifications regarding patient condition changes.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with strong prioritization, problem-solving, and team-playing skills will be considered first.
• Additional Information: The role involves participation in scheduled weekend rotations (every third Friday and Saturday night, plus an additional Friday or Saturday night). Attendance at holiday events such as Halloween, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night may be required.
