Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room registered nurse (RN) position available in the specialty of Operating Room at a healthcare facility in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves rotating shiftsdays, evenings, and nightswith a schedule of 36 hours per week during orientation and 40 hours per week thereafter. The position requires call and weekend work, with response times within 30 minutes. Candidates must have recent experience in Level 1 Trauma settings and advanced proficiency in multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day/night rotating); all shifts will be rotating (days, evenings, nights). Call and weekends required. Call can be weekday and/or weekend. Weekends can be Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Hours per week: 36 (except for orientation week), with a start date of 09/07/2026 and end date of 12/06/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year in Level 1 Trauma; at least 1 year of travel nursing experience within the last 3 years; strong proficiency (3 or 4) in General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics (DaVinci systemsCardiac and drive machine), and Transplant surgery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 Trauma experience (at least 1 year out of the last 3); experience with robotics systems (DaVinci).
• Additional Information: Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes; in-house call rooms available; uniforms are navy blue; flu and COVID-19 vaccines required, but medical or religious declinations are accepted. Candidates within 50 miles are eligible for a lower local rate. Offers must be responded to within 48 hours of receipt; once accepted, time off cannot be added or altered.
