Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a high-volume, dynamic hospital setting. The role involves providing urgent and emergency patient care within a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including triage, patient assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support). Education requirements include a completed nursing degree and current licensure. Location requirement is within commuting distance of the healthcare facility. A minimum of 0 years of experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior acute emergency room experience, trauma proficiency, and experience with EMR systems such as Meditech are highly desirable.
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves working four weekend shifts per month, with no on-call duties.
  • The unit consists of 28 beds, staffed by approximately 15 personnel including charge nurses, registered nurses, technicians, and a unit secretary.
  • Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, resuscitations, EKGs, and other critical interventions.
  • Candidates should be active and personable to fit into the fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
