Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Nights Denton, Texas. This position involves providing compassionate, quality care to patients on a medical surgical unit in a busy acute care setting. The nurse will be responsible for delivering patient care in accordance with facility standards, demonstrating teamwork, and adhering to unit policies and protocols during night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; previous med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting; minimum of 0 years of experience; located in or willing to work in Denton, TX.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical records; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Information: The role supports a 43-bed medical unit with approximately 70 staff members, including RN and CNA team members. The unit primarily handles various surgical cases, excluding cardiac and open neuro surgeries. The staff operates with a typical patient ratio of 1:5-6 during day shifts and 1:6 during nights. Self-scheduling within reason for weekends and on-call shifts is permitted; rotating weekends are required.
